My initials on my passport….fancy. How cute is my little snow globe from Paris?!
Père Lachaise Cemetery – I know a lot of people probably feel this way but I don’t find cemeteries eerie and actually find them to be really relaxing. I think there’s something quite comforting about a beautiful cemetery. I remember visiting a cemetery with columbarium walls in Tenerife when I was younger and being fascianted by it. When I visit Paris at the end of March, I want to have ticked visiting the Père Lachaise cemetery, which is the largest cemetery in the city of Paris and is also Oscar Wilde’s place of burial, off of my list.
Penang’s Street Food & Flea Markets – If I could live off one cuisine for the rest of my life, it would be that of South-east Asia and I would love to experience their authentic Laksa Lemak which is like poached fish and noodles in a fish bone and coconut broth and Udang Galah Redang which is a dish made up of giant shrimps cooked in a really hot and spicy paste.
Auschwitz – Most couples go on a nice, relaxing beach holiday together but we’ve decided that as a joint birthday present, we’re going to visit Auschwitz which may seem absurd to some people but beach holidays just aren’t something I’m interested in and for me, it’s something I’ve always wanted and felt the need to do, to form some sort of comprehension of the atrocities committed at Auschwitz.
Mostar, Bosnia & Herzegovina – this place is like a real life fairytale-esque postcard. I’d love to spend a day near The Old Bridge (google it, seriously!) and I would love to visit Bosnia’s Kravice Waterfalls.
Stockholm – The ultimate ‘stylish city’. I think Stockholm is on the cards for a trip this year! Gamla Stan looks absolutely stunning and I love the idea of walking through the medieval cobbled streets. The restaurants look pretty good too and I’ve never really experienced Swedish food before.
The BIG wanderlust dream – Africa. I’ll save that one for when I’m older and have a lot more money to spare! For now, I’ll stick with the five above which are more only-20-years-old friendly.
I’m originally from Poland and I’ve been to Auschwitz, while it’s a place full of pain and tragedy, it’s also fascinating and I think everyone should visit it one day and learn a bit of history. Hope you’ll tick off all of these places of your list 🙂 x

Thank you! Was Auschwitz what you expected it to be? Or were you surprised with some aspects? x
I’m from Malaysia and I’m glad you love Penang’s street food. Penang Island has one of the best foods in our country and you should try the Fried Kuey Teow. That is my absolute favourite! 🙂
Do you currently live in Malaysia? The food is incredible to me. That looks delicious and similar to pad thai but a little more spicy? x
Yep I do. Glad to hear that you like Malaysian food, because some of my friends from overseas don’t really like the taste :p Yes that’s the one! You can order it spicy or non-spicy, so it depends 🙂
How could you not like the taste of it!? Any recommendations for dishes to try for a coconut lover?
Hahaha well I guess different people have different taste buds. Hmm have you tried the Nasi Lemak? It’s not exclusively Penang food; you can find good ones almost anywhere in Malaysia. The rice is cooked in coconut milk and you eat it with eggs, cucumber, anchovies, fried peanuts and a spicy paste called sambal. Mix them all together and it is amazing!! Have you been to Malaysia before? 🙂
Oh my gosh that sounds delicious, I love anchovies. No I haven’t but I need to go soon!
I want to visit Auschwitz too. Im currently doing a module on the Holocaust at uni, and would really like to visit there!
And same, defo want to go Africa! Would love to do a safari holiday.

oh wow, I bet that’s so interesting!
Fantastic places on your wishlist! Yay for Penang – it’s also a destination on my wishlist! Heaven for a foodie like me hehehe 😛
We can dream! Coconut, chillies and seafood YAYUS x
Oh yes the seafood..! Grilled stingrays and squids!! Omigosh ><
I went to Sachsenhausen in Berlin but only lasted about half an hour, it was so harrowing that I was sobbing so much I had to leave. So kudos to you for wanting to do it, it’s hard hitting. And Stockholm is next on my list, I can only imagine how chic it is there!

I can imagine it would be heart breaking but I think I’ll be ok, pretty thick skinned! X
Yeah I’m a bit pathetic haha, but it’s definitely something to see if you can stand it.
Love this post, so inspiring! I have also nominated you for the liebster award if you like :)https://allthingsplainandsimple.wordpress.com/2015/03/14/the-liebster-award/ x x
