My Valentine’s Day Makeup Menu

Whether you’re celebrating the day of Saint Valentine in a fancy restaurant with your one true love or with your gal pals, in your PJ’s, surrounded by an array of chick flicks and mounds of pizza, this makeup menu is a kind of ‘suit all’ look. In true Valentine’s spirit, I’ll be enjoying a fancified, sickeningly calorie laden 3-course menu but beforehand, these are the products I’ll be slapping on my face…

My love/hate relationship with NARS’ sheer glow foundation is currently all good and well so for a naturally flawless complexion, I love to apply a thin layer of this with a fluffy blending brush, concentrating it on the centre of my face. The bronzed-goddess like complexion is my kind of jam and as I favour cream based products, I love Chanel’s coveted soleil tan de Chanel, which I find has an almost undetectable finish while providing a warm, sunkissed sheen. This cream bronzer pairs really well with No7’s bronze radiance highlighter and a peach toned blush; cue Milani’s luminoso.  A rich, bronze smoky eye is my most worn, most loved look for my peepers and so my Charlotte Tilbury golden goddess quad perfectly fits the bill in that department. While the colour pay off is quite subtle, the shadows layer really well so building the intensity up to your desired eye look is easy peasy.

Lastly, for lips, my newly acquired New CID Cosmetics lipstick in ‘dusk’* is a beautiful peachy-nude and with a  hyaluronic acid-rich formula, it delivers both on aesthetic appeal and practicality as the intensely hydrating ingredients make for a perfect lipstick choice for when the weather is dreary, cold and drab.

Hope you all have a lovely Valentine’s Day, whatever you’re doing! Jess x

  1. I also have yet to try one of those kind of milani blushes. 🙂 I hear a lot of good from many about them. Your valentine’s looks sounds so soft and sweet. Some of my favorite makeup looks are pink, peach, pastels and neutrals. 😀
