I’ve perused the aisles of Boots and one too many beauty halls of late and after much deliberation, have decided upon these five launches as the best of the bunch. And, much to my delight, nothing is astronomically high in price – hooray!
Although the original cleanse & polish scent is my fave, I’m partial to Liz Earle’s limited edition offerings of her award-winning cream cleanser. Namely, her most recent rose and cedrat cleanser (£20.75), which, aside from the floral illustration adorned packaging, smells of rose and lemon bonbons…YES.
I’m quite neglectful when it comes to haircare but Jen Atkin’s beautiful new OUAI line (prices start at £20) has incentivised me to take better care of my locks. Unlike most shampoos on the market, the shampoo from this line is entirely sulfate-free; which although used as an ingredient for both its cheap price tag and ability to create an impressive lather, sulfates also just so happen to strip hair of its essential oils. I find OUAI’s shampoo to lather up just as well as its sulfate-ridden shampoo counterparts and although the range is priced at the higher end scale of things, the decadent scent and creamy formulation of both the shampoo and conditioner are just a little more special than the likes of your bog standard hair cleansers.
I’ll refrain from harping on about this next launch too much and will instead link you to the post where I discuss the L’Oreal nude magique cushion foundation (introductory price is £9.99, actual price is £14.99) in great detail and rant about the ludicrous price to product ratio – right here.
I really do think that Urban Decay does powder formulations like no other. So naturally, their new beached bronzer (£20.00) didn’t disappoint on the formulation front, nor did it disappoint in the packaging department…just look at that rose gold pan and palm tree print. Hot damn.
Lastly, and although not strictly brand new, L’Oreal’s elvive clay masque is an innovative little pot of kaolin clay goodness that works to absorb any excess oil and impurities from the scalp. It really does work and with it being on offer at the moment for £2.99, why not give it a try if you’re an oily-haired gal?
Are you loving any new launches at the moment? Jess x
Do you think the bronzer would work well for someone with fair skin? xo
Yes! I have fair skin and while it’s quite a warm bronzer, it has a neutral and very flattering undertone x
I had no idea that the Ouai hairline was sulfate free but that may sway me into trying their line now! I’ve gone sulfate free for my hair care and am a huge fan of the Not Your Mother’s line. Those are definitely more budget friendly and still feel great so definitely give those a go if you can 🙂

I agree – so unique and refreshingly different! X
Oh I really want to try out some Liz Earle products, I feel like I’ve been missing out! I picked up the UD bronzer a while ago and my god I agree it is beautiful. It isn’t too orange toned for me and it blends so well without being muddy or streaky! I am now in total agreement with the L’Oreal Foundation, love the formula, hate hate hate the packaging, I’ve only used mine around 10x and it’s all dried up and gone. If they ever bring it out in a bottle I will be so much happier! xx

One of the best skincare brands for sure! So frustrating isn’t it!? I’ve used mine about 7 or 8 times and I already feel like it’s running out hahaha xx
I’ll have to look into the Ouai line!
It’s really beautiful! So luxe and smells incredible x
I definitely need to get my hands on the L’oreal clay masque as I get oily hair so quickly!
