A DIY Pumpkin Spice Body Scrub Recipe

Now, I don’t mean to toot my own horn, but isn’t this just the sweetest little tub of scrub you ever did see? And because I’m partial to and much prefer body scrubs and shower gels over lotions, body butters and creams,I decided to experiment with mixing a few lotions and potions and kitchen cupboard goodies to create a festive scrub that whilst good enough to grace any beauty stash, wouldn’t pull on the purse strings too much. Aside from both the sugar and oils working beautifully together to rid the skin of any unwanted drynessΒ while nourishing the skin, if adorned with cutesy, festive bows and a nice tag, I think this would make such a lovely gift for any beauty lover; particularly if you’re budget doesn’t allow for anything a little more pricey.

You will need:

1 cup or 130g coconut sugar (or regular white sugar if you’d prefer but I love the scent of coconut sugar!)

1/4 cup or 30g brown sugar (for colour)

1 teaspoon vanilla extract/essence

1 teaspoon of pumpkin spice (1 tsp ground cinammon, 1/3 tsp ground nutmeg, 1/3 tsp ground ginger and 1/8 tsp ground cloves)

1/3 cup or 120g coconut oil

Heat & melt your coconut oil with the vanilla extract, pour into dry ingredients, mix together in a bowl and pop into decorative jars!

I can vouch for the gloriousness of this scrub; it smells just as good as it looks and is a lovely little autumnal addition to my bathroom stash! What do you think of this? Easy right!? Will you be trying it out? Jess x
