The lovely PR team at Look Fantastic very kindly sent over their September 2017 Birthday Edit box before its official release date, and so I’m here to give you an exclusive sneak peek in to the contents of said box, and the more intricate deets on pricing etc.
This box is to celebrate the 3rd birthday of the Look Fantastic Beauty Boxes, and has a total value of over £72. As is the case with most subscription boxes, the pricing is dependant upon your subscription plan. If you purchase this box as a one-time payment, it will be £15; if you sign up to a 6 month subscription, it will be £13.85 per month, and for a 12 month plan, it will cost you £13.
What’s inside the box?
EVE LOM’s Cleanser & muslin cloth – I was so pleased to see this cleanser in the box! I’ve used it a couple of times since this box landed on my doorstep, and it really is beautiful. It doesn’t leave a film on top of the skin, and I’ll be reserving this for facial massages. I’m always appreciative of another muslin cloth to add to my basket of cloths and flannels, and the Eve Lom cloths really are great.
Illamasqua’s Mini Contouring Gel Sculpt in ‘Silhouette’ – I much prefer cream formulas over powders for my base, and I love this brand for its innovative approach to makeup, and so I was really happy to see this included. It’s incredibly sheer; I really quite like it for that quality, but for those who prefer a more dramatic look, this might be too natural. However, it does layer well, so if you had a little more time on your hands, it could offer that really chiselled look!
Decléor’s Hydra Floral Anti-Pollution Hydrating Gel-Cream – If I had the disposable income to justify it, I think I would have all of the products within Decléor’s range sat in my skincare drawer. Their products really are so beautiful, and the consistency of this cream is g-l-o-r-i-o-u-s.
HIKARI’s Eye Shadow Quad in ‘Tonya’ – I love that such a universally flattering, neutral quad has been included in this box. In all honesty, I didn’t expect much from these shadows, but they’re nicely pigmented, and the formula is neither dry nor powdery, which I can always get on board with.
Christophe Robin’s Cleansing Volumising Paste – I’m wary of using pastes in my hair, but I will definitely give this a go. I’m not overly sure if it emulsifies, or if it has to be rinsed away, but I’m looking forward to trying something new!
Look Fantastic’s Unicorn Eye Shadow Brush – This limited edition brush has been specially created for this box! It’s really soft, and perfect for picking up product and patting over the mobile lid.
Holly’s Lollies – This British-born artisan confectionary company specialises in lollipops with a boozy twist, but to cater to all subscribers, this lollipop contains a bespoke elderflower flavour.
ELLE magazine – The September edition of ELLE is also included in the box, which retails for £4.30!
